Smart Energy Training along with their strategic partners in renewable energy technologies are at the forefront of actual energy conservation. We are able to utilise our skills in feasibility studies, project financial analysis and carbon saving strategies to assist in the implementation of real carbon reduction projects.
Smart Energy invite all candidates who have completed our complete consultant training to become partners in their area to promote our renewable energy products and utilise the skills learnt on our courses to advise potential clients on which technology will bring the best financial return and environmental impact.
By using our specialist software in analysing clean energy production you will be able to generate reports on the different options generating a league table for the best performing projects. With the governments legally binding target for the U.K to have 15% renewables by 2020 and the introduction of many incentives like the carbon reduction commitment, renewable heat incentive, feed in tariffs, interest free loans and many more will undoubtedly increase the amount of installations rapidly.
This is a big incentive for our partners as they could earn ££££££ in referrals. Don’t just train with us work with us to not only help reduce emissions but also earn an income around your existing work.

What can the Clean Energy software do?
This software was designed and written by leading professionals from different sectors and covers all of the fundamental principles required to carry out a feasibility study on whether a clean energy project is viable both financially and technically.
This software gives you the ability to work out for example whether installing a ground source heat pump in comparison to an old oil boiler is a worthwhile investment, and whether installing cavity wall insulation throughout will give you a good return on your investment.
You can work out how much money will be saved every year by making small alterations like reducing the flow rate on the hot water taps or simply changing an existing pump for a variable speed model. It allows you to work on all buildings from residential to commercial to large scale industrial applications.
The renewable energy technologies that can be analysed are –
- Wind turbines
- Solar thermal hot Water
- Solar swimming pools
- Ground source and geothermal heat pumps and ground loop sizing
- Air source heat pumps
- Heat Recovery
- Wood Pellet, chip and log boilers
- Photovoltaic Solar
- Combined Heat and Power
- Air conditioning
- Combined heating and cooling
- Solar Air Heating
- Process heating
You can even work out how much could be saved by replacing your old gas boiler for a more efficient condensing model. Anything is possible. A feasibility study can be carried out in a matter of minutes and with in depth calculations carried out by the software, a true and accurate result is achieved. It has been proved that the accuracy of the results are within + or – 3%.
An example use of this software saved a company over a million pounds. Companies spend thousands of pounds analysing projects but now with this software you can carry out these studies in a matter of minutes.
You can compare all types of fuels and the software works out how many tonnes of carbon dioxide per year that the proposed project has saved by either energy efficiency measures or by installing a new technology.
You are able to carry out full building heat loss and heating load calculations in conjunction with weather data from NASA for accurate analysis of energy usage. You can choose from locations all over the world. All parts of the software can be adapted to where you are in the world for example language, units and currency.
Financial aspect.
The financial analysis part of the software covers all aspects of capital budgeting and analytical techniques administered by chartered accountants to compare potential investments. The software works out the fuel cost savings and it takes into account any grants or loans, inflation and cash flow to give the project a rating.
This includes Net Present Values, Internal Rates of Returns, cost benefit ratios and many more. There is also a facility to perform a risk and sensitivity analysis at the end of each project so a client can see the investment returns if the project goes over budget or the fuel costs increases or decreases.
You can also factor in an annual fuel cost escalation to give a true reflection on the volatile fuel market.
Lighting and Appliances
You can carry out an in depth analysis on the lighting system and make changes to more efficient light fittings to see how much energy, emissions and money is saved. A whole list of every electrical appliance in the building along with the usage times can be entered into the software and changes
can be made to demonstrate savings.
This program is an invaluable sales tool for any company involved in energy analysis, installation, sales, energy audits etc. The potential of this software is huge.
